Planning and preparing for our client meeting this Friday 20th.

(18/03/2015)

Corporate video planning – things to consider.

  • Objectives – what do you want to communicate and why?
  • Define your audience – who are you trying to reach?
  • Agree your budget. – how much do you want to spend?
  • Alternative uses/edits – shooting footage now could save ££££’s later – how can it be re-purposed?
  • Content – What do you need to include?
  • Distribution media – how are you going to deliver this programme?
  • Lifetime – is this to deliver a one-off message or for long term distribution?
  • Deadline – when do you need this project to be completed?
  • Script – do you write your own, use a professional or a bit of each?
  • Location – do you want to shoot on site or in a studio?
  • Do you want to use actors or members of your team?
  • Do you use voice over, or maybe a presenter – amateur or pro?
  • Resources – what do you already have?

Pitch review & improvements.

4/3/2015.
Today we presented our pitch to Dominique and our peers to see if the pitch is strong enough to present to our current corporate video client. I tried to connect to the people watching our presenting, it was important for us to sell our idea and show that we know about our client and what will prove effective for them on our desired video. Dominique credited our presentation but also provided constructive criticism for example to provide a stronger representation of girls in the programme and also to provide the questions needed to ask the client regarding updated information. Ayaan has given us feedback stating it was very informative, it felt professional and the use of examples allowed us to acknowledge what the options are. We have taken all feedback into consideration and now aim to improve our pitch to the best of our ability to impress our client.
